Silverdell (UK) Limited is celebrating after it was announced they have scooped the ARCA (Asbestos Removal Contractor Association) Gold Award for services and training in the industry.

The inaugural award is first that ARCA has presented and is to highlight industry excellence in awareness initiatives and recognition of industry-leading training within the asbestos removal sector.

Accepting the award on behalf of Silverdell (UK) Limited, Marc Smith (Group Health & Safety Director) said: “The importance of training across the company is paramount to our development, and the response from our supply chain to be part of this initiative has been excellent."

Terry Jago ARCA’s (Asbestos Removal Contractors Association) Director of Training said: “ I am delighted at Silverdell PLC winning the Association’s Gold Award for Training. If feel the award demonstrates their commitment to working at the highest standards by ensuring all their labour are trained to meet the demands of this specialist industry”

Contributing to the award win is the recently launched Silverdell Academy for Excellence (SAFE); this new training concept provides solutions for asbestos removal operatives to learn about all aspects of the industry. Changing the face of asbestos management and construction training, the SAFE mobile training suite, deemed to be pioneering in this sector, can travel between sites to deliver site-based operational training in a working environment.
