Launched last month, RoofShop’s competition to search for ‘Britain’s Best Caff’ is truly underway after a phenomenal response from ‘caffs’ nationwide.
Running for the second year in a row, RoofShop, a nationwide Roofing Merchant is calling on all cafes who feel that they have the Sizzle Factor to send their entries in. With over 1000 participating cafes already registered in the competition, the contest for 2008 looks set to be fierce. If cafes feel that they have the ‘Sizzle Factor’ it is not too late to register, they simply need to visit www.loveyourcaff.co.uk
and sign up!
One of those cafes hoping to be awarded with one of the following categories: Best Bacon Buttie, Best Contribution to Local Area and Most Number of Nominations Received, the Little Portland Café, London is the first café to get involved in a joint media stunt with RoofShop to promote the awards, involving a national radio station.
Once all participating cafes have registered, customers are urged to nominate their local café. The café with the most nominations will then be crowned at a prestigious awards ceremony at the Belfry in March next year. As well as the overall winner, there will be 8 regional awards for the runners up.
Over recent years many traditional British ‘Caffs’ have experienced a steady decline thanks to the European style coffee outlets popping up on our every street corner. The extremely successful awards launched last year by RoofShop aimed to celebrate and put the spotlight back on the much loved ‘Caff’ which has become iconic within the construction industry and loved by the British builder and tradesman alike.
Last year’s winner to receive the accolade of ‘Britain’s Best Caff’ was awarded to Newcastle’s JJ’s Café, at a lavish awards ceremony at London Zoo in March this year.
With great expertise on hand at every branch, RoofShop can provide trades people with everything from joists to tiles. More importantly every branch is able to offer ‘on demand’ product availability with over 40,000 lines, from pitched, flat and industrial roofing materials plus thousands of accessories. Visits to the RoofShop can easily be tied into the tradesmen’s daily working life (following a pit stop at their favourite Caff!!)
“RoofShop has now become recognised as a one-stop solution for all tradesmen” said Stuart Base, Marketing Manager , RoofShop “with readily available stock at every branch, the RoofShop has now become part of the tradesman’s daily life, in the same way that a visit to their local café is.”
Forget the ‘X’ Factor, this year it is all about the Sizzle Factor!
